What you get

This service lets you send money from your Citibank checking or Savings1 account to accounts at other financial institutions in the U.S. and internationally.

How it works

  • To enroll, you must review and accept the Online Funds Transfer Agreement.
  • To send a wire transfer, simply have the recipient's account and destination bank information2 available.
  • Wires are generally sent the same business day if processed before 6:00 PM ET for international transfers and 6:45 PM ET for domestic transfers.
  • Wire transfers can be a one-time event or you can set up domestic recurring wires in advance. You can also save and reuse wire information and see all past and future wires.

How to receive a wire transfer:

Provide the sender with your account number and routing number. For incoming international wires, you will also need to provide a SWIFT code. Citi's SWIFT code CITIUS33 and Intermediary Bank code 0210-0008-9 should be used for international wires.

To find your account number and wire transfer routing number, Log in to Citibank Online, select your desired account and view details in the Account Information box.

Protect your accounts from rising scams and fraud

The incidents of wire transfer scams have increased significantly. Don't make yourself an easy target.

  • Be on the lookout for scammers who try to impersonate Citi employees.
  • Be suspicious of false urgency.
  • Be wary of requests to transfer money to yourself.
  • Don't share personal information with someone you don't know.
  • Watch out for fake Citi SMS texts.
  • Use only Citi-owned contact methods.
