Marta Budavari serves as Regional Chief Compliance Officer for Mexico and Latin America (LATAM) at Citi. She is responsible for the development, strategic direction, implementation and delivery of ICRM’s compliance risk management activities.

Previously Marta was Head of Compliance Latin America for Credit Suisse where she managed the compliance framework for all business units across the region. At Credit Suisse, Marta transformed the Compliance organization into a Risk Management function. Prior to Credit Suisse, she served as Head of Financial Crime Compliance Latin America at HSBC.

Marta has more than 25 years of combined financial services experience across a number of Finance, Operations, and leading Compliance roles at ABN Amro, Citi, CIT Group, Credit Suisse, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Centro Universitario das Faculdades Metropolitanas, in São Paulo, Brazil and a postgraduate degree in Management Skills Development from Tec de Monterrey, in Monterey, Mexico. Marta is a dual citizen, Brazilian and Hungarian, and is fluent in six languages.
