Marcelo rejoined Citi in 2013, as Head of Corporate & Investment Banking in Brazil.

He began his career at Citi in 1993 and during his initial 15 years at the firm he held several different senior business positions. In mid-2000 Marangon moved to the United States and assumed the role as Latam Regional Head for Asset Based Finance and Lending Products. In 2004 he was transferred back to Brazil to assume the Corporate Finance business and later on the Corporate Bank. In 2008, he joined HSBC Brazil as Corporate & Investment Banking Head and in 2011 he joined Itau BBA as Head of Large Corporate Banking.

In September 2017, Marcelo was appointed Citi Country Officer for Brazil.

Marcelo holds an MBA in Finance from IBMEC SP and he is graduated from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica in São Paulo.
