Dan Díaz

Dan Díaz serves as Managing Director and Regional Communications Head, Latin America at Citigroup.
An experienced Dow Jones 30 and Fortune 20 communications professional, Díaz most recently served as Vice President, Global Corporate Communications at WU. Over the last 10 years he held a number of senior roles of increasing responsibilities, at WU, including Vice President Communications, Global Consumer Financial Services, Vice President Global Internal Communications and Vice President Communications, The Americas.
Díaz has joined companies, throughout his career, during key transition periods: mergers, IPO and spinoff.
He joined WU from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington, D.C. where he served as Director of Communications.
Prior to CHCI, Dan was named Director Global Corporate Communications at NeuStar (NYSE:NSR), managing IPO communications activities that helped transition NeuStar to a public company while raising $1 Billion in investor funding. During his tenure at NeuStar, he managed CEO, corporate and financial communications worldwide.
Earlier in his career, based in New York, he served as Senior Manager Corporate Communications at Verizon (NYSE: VZ), a global leader delivering broadband, wireless and wireline services to mass market, business and governments, with more than $120 billion in revenues. At Verizon, Díaz was responsible for corporate media relations in The Americas and later for its largest domestic consumer business unit.
Díaz began his career as a graduate student at the United Nations in New York and holds an M.A. in International Relations, International Law and Diplomacy and a B.A. in Government & Politics from St. John’s University, New York. He has completed executive programs at Wharton, Harvard Law School, the University of Colorado at Boulder, Leeds School of Business and the University of South Carolina, Moore School of Business.
