1. What is Citibank Alerting
Service?
Citibank Alerting Service is an Internet-based notification
system that provides you with current information on
your account by means of an e-mail, SMS or both.
Citibank Alerting Service keeps track of your money
and provides you with information on your Citibank Credit
Card or Bank Account that you have with Citibank. You
will get alerts when a transaction is made on your Credit
Card or your Supplementary Card. As a banking customer
get alerts when there is any debit or credit to your
Citibank bank account.
2. How can I modify my registration
details / alerts at any time?
You can logon to Citibank Online to change your subscription
profile or to add/modify your alerts. You can also call
CitiPhone Banking at any time on 16644.
3. Can I choose the type of
alerts I would like to receive?
Yes, Citibank Alerting Service gives you the ability
to set the content and the periodicity of your alerts.
You can change your preferences, as and when you like.
4. How often will I receive
these Alerting Service messages?
You will receive the message when a transaction is
made on your Citibank Credit Card or Supplementary Card
and when there is debit or credit to your Bank account.
For some alerts you are given the choice to choose the
frequency.
5. Who can avail of this service?
To avail of this service you have to be a Citibank
customer holding either a Citibank Bank Account or a
Citibank Credit Card. Supplementary Card member is not
eligible to register for Citibank Alerts.
6. What would this service
cost me?
The cost for this convenient service is only four Egyptian
pounds per month.
7. Can I receive Alerts when
I travel outside Egypt?
Alerts on email will be accessible if you have access
to your email account from outside Egypt. And/or if
you are availing of international roaming facility on
your mobile connection.
8. What terms and conditions
govern Citibank Alerting Service?
Citibank Alerting Service is subject to Terms
and Conditions and will be bound to the same.
Registration
1. How can I start using Citibank
Alerting Service?
To start using the Citibank Alerting Service you will
need to complete a one-time registration process in
either of the following ways:
A. Online Registration:
• Log on to Citibank Online
• Enter your Username, Password and answer the
Challenge Question
• Complete your profile in the Profile Page
• Select the mode of delivery.
You also have the flexibility to subscribe/un-subscribe
for any or all of the alerts at any point in time.
B. CitiPhone:
Call CitiPhone Banking on 16644 (24 hours a day) and
ask your CitiPhone Officer to enroll you on Citibank
Alerting Service.
2. How will I know if I have
registered successfully?
You will be greeted with a welcome message through
email and SMS, indicating that you have been successfully
enrolled for Citibank Alerting Service. If you do not
receive the welcome message, please call CitiPhone on
16644 and inform us.
3. Can I temporarily stop
receiving alerts?
Yes, you can choose to temporarily stop receiving alerts
during the periods that you are unavailable. All that
you need to do is de-select the option 'Turn Alerting
Service off/on', this will temporarily discontinue receiving
Citibank Alerts.
4. Can I unsubscribe any
time on my own?
You can unsubscribe from the service from the website.
All you have to do is click on 'Delete' on your Profile
page of Citibank Alerting Service. You will have to
re-register for Citibank Alerts if you wish to receive
the alerts again.
